Free Practice Sessions 1 – 2

As already seen in the official tests two days ago, the 2016 World Supersport Championship starts in the best way possible for team Ranieri Med and Kyle Ryde.

Right from the start of Friday’s morning practice, it was apparent the Kyle was riding powerful and effective bike in the Ranieri Med R6 with rider and machine being on the pace in all sectors of the Circuit.

Impressive pace

Kyle impressed everyone with his pace, lowering his best time from the previous session by over a second to 1’34”202 this bought the team a superb fifth place behind some of the most experienced riders in the Supersport World Championship.

The superb time put in by Kyle and the team ensured that we go straight into the prestigious Superpole 2 for Saturday morning, and shows that there is still room for further improvement in the second round of the afternoon.

Due to a strong wind out on track, virtually no one was able to lower their morning times but Team Ranieri Med and Kyle are working hard together to perfect the set-up of the bike because these minor adjustments and making the correct tyre choice will be key to Sundays race.

Kyle Ryde-

“This morning the track conditions were a little different than the previous tests. The grip is increasing day by day and because of that we had to review the bikes settings, we quickly found a solution because we were able to lower the time by over a second.”

Kyle went on to say-

“It’s not an easy track to race on but I’m pleased to be the fastest out of all the new guys here after the first free practice sessions. I think we can still improve our time tomorrow.”
